Blizzard says Forever adds more than 600 recipes across professions and level ranges. Profession choices will therefore be judged by levelling utility, crafting access and endgame value rather than a single universal pairing.

Economy matters
Professions feed directly into the new Camping system. Every profession has three campsite objects learned at different skill levels; the first become available at skill 20, while advanced Blueprint recipes can drop from specific dungeon bosses.
Verification first
Confirmed examples include Blacksmith Sharpening Wheels, Tailor Faction Banners, Herbalist Incense Candles, Alchemy Labs and Leatherworking Tanning Racks. Crafted food is also being expanded with experience and stat benefits. Exact recipe routes, material costs and profit claims will remain beta-sensitive.
Professions are a major Legacy route.
The six non-gathering primary professions provide 18 of the 65 launch Legacy Points through skill milestones at 150, 225 and 300. The Professions tree also includes perks for skill-ups, scarce gathering resources, vendor costs, commerce rewards, Cooking, Fishing and profession progression.
