EXPEDITIONS
Every stop spends battery. Good expeditions begin before your boots touch the snow: scout, choose an objective and know when to return.
THE EXPEDITION CYCLE
SCOUT
Use the glider to inspect the landscape, locate facilities and identify threats before committing on foot.
TARGET
Choose what the stop is for: resources, technology, survivors or another specific objective.
LOOT
Prioritise valuable materials and objectives rather than clearing every room simply because it exists.
RETURN
Watch the train's remaining energy and leave enough margin to get back aboard before the stop becomes terminal.
TIME IS STORED ENERGY
The train's battery drains while stationary, so exploration has a real cost. Patch 0.3.2 also provides Keyboard, Keyboard + Mouse and Mouse Only glider steering options; use whichever makes scouting most reliable for you.
KEEP THIS IN MIND
PLANNING AN EXPEDITION
An expedition is a trade: battery time and personal risk in exchange for resources, technology, secrets and passengers. The most efficient stop is not necessarily the one where you loot absolutely everything.
SCOUT FROM THE AIR
Launch the glider before committing on foot. It can scout locations, identify threats, deploy scan drones and harvest rare Iso used for crafting. Patch 0.3.2 offers Keyboard, Keyboard + Mouse and Mouse Only steering.
READ FACILITY INFORMATION
Facility map information reports resources, including Tech. Use that information to decide whether a stop actually advances your current crafting or progression goal.
SET ONE PRIMARY OBJECTIVE
Decide whether you need resources, technology, passengers or exploration progress. Extra loot is welcome; losing the train because you searched a final cupboard is less impressive.
EXPECT THREATS
Facilities can contain hostile robots, turrets, suicide spiders, anomalies and environmental hazards. Suicide spiders now occur more frequently and across all facility types in 0.3.2.
WATCH THE RETURN WINDOW
The battery is still draining while you explore. Build in a return margin rather than treating zero as your target. The game provides escalating low-power countdown audio as the end approaches.
MULTIPLAYER
EverRail supports up to four players. In 0.3.2 mission progress recognises client actions and Glider Iso collection contributes to a shared crew goal, making role splitting more practical.
GLIDER, SCANNING & CREW OPERATIONS
TUNNEL SAFETY
Glider launch detection recognises tunnels close ahead and above catcher or launcher wagons more reliably. A glider crash kills the active character, so launch conditions matter.
ISO CLOUDS
Iso clouds evaporate more slowly in 0.3.2, giving slower pilots a better collection window. Upgraded collectors increase gathering rate, so scouting flights can advance crafting even without a facility stop.
TARGET SCANNER DRONES
Scanner drones belong to the Glider Fabricator ecosystem. Tier II and III Target Scanner Drones received fixes in 0.3.1, while scan-drone tooltips were corrected in 0.3.2.
CREW ROLES
With up to four players, split responsibilities: train and departure, scouting, combat and looting. Client mission actions now count correctly and Glider Iso collection can contribute to a shared crew objective.
