CRAFTING & RESOURCES

Scavenging only becomes progression when the resources come home and become something useful. Craft for the next problem, not merely because a recipe is available.

TURN LOOT INTO CAPABILITY

01

SCAVENGE

Facilities provide valuable resources and technology; glider scouting can also help locate opportunities.

02

ISOTOPES

The glider can harvest rare isotopes used in crafting, making aerial exploration part of the production loop.

03

CRAFT

Create weapons, armour, tools, gliders and essential machinery as your needs develop.

04

ORGANISE

Patch 0.3.2 adds search to the Crafting Overview, making recipes easier to locate as your options grow.

CORE PRINCIPLE

CRAFT WITH A PURPOSE

Prioritise items that improve survival, expedition reliability or train capability. Early Access recipes and balance can change, so exact material tables should always be verified against the current patch.

KEEP THIS IN MIND

✓ The train must keep moving to recharge its battery
✓ Scout before committing to a stop
✓ Bring resources home with a purpose
✓ Rescue passengers whenever the risk makes sense
✓ Improve capability before chasing sheer size

DETAILED GUIDE

CRAFTING, RESOURCES & PRODUCTION

EverRail's loop turns exploration into materials, materials into equipment and machinery, and those upgrades into access to harder expeditions. The crafting screen now includes search and tracked-recipe information to make that growing recipe list less hostile to human eyesight.

WHAT YOU CAN CRAFT

The current game supports crafting weapons, armour, tools, gliders and essential machinery, alongside train infrastructure and specialist equipment.

TRACK RECIPES

Tracked recipes appear in the crafting screen and show the materials still required. Patch 0.3.2 also adds recipe search to the Crafting Overview.

ISO

Gliders harvest rare Iso clouds. Iso Collector tiers II–V can be crafted at the Glider Fabricator; higher tiers gather at 125% through 200% rates. Only one collector is active at a time.

SCAN DRONES

Glider Fabricator drones support exploration and scanning. Drone crafting costs were reworked so batches of ten are produced rather than the earlier unusual individual scrap costs.

RECYCLING

Unwanted equipment and recovered items can feed back into the resource economy through recycling. Current patches continue to adjust recycling outputs, including fixes for Coolant Packs and Lab Samples.

MODULE PLACEMENT

Production modules affect crafting buildings directly adjacent to them. Since 0.3.2 they no longer incorrectly influence buildings on floors above or below, so layout matters.

EXPANSION PASS II

PRODUCTION REFERENCE

GLIDER FABRICATOR

Glider upgrades and scan drones belong at the Glider Fabricator. Iso Collector II–V provide 125% through 200% gathering rates, with only one collector active at a time.

DRONE BATCHES

The three craftable drones had their costs reworked in 0.2.7 and are produced in batches of ten, replacing the earlier awkward individual Scrap costs.

CRAFTING QUEUES

Cancelled client crafting returns resources, and if inventory is full those resources drop to the ground. Crafting in progress is preserved correctly across save loading after earlier fixes.

STORAGE EFFICIENCY

Storage slot counts scale with building size. Larger storage is designed to be at least as space-efficient as filling the same footprint with smaller storage buildings.
